The Lowell Folk Festival, the largest free folk festival in the U.S. starts today with a grand parade.
The three day celebration allows the audiences the chance to travel around the world while in the historic district of downtown Lowell thanks to the extraordinary performances of musicians who play music from almost every corner of the Earth.
Festival goers will have the chance not only to listen to the music of other cultures, but also taste their specific foods, as volunteers from local ethnic communities have prepared a huge variety of dishes.
It doesn’t matter who you are or where are you coming from, as music, the universal language, will unite everybody during the celebration.
The 24th edition of the Lowell Folk Festival end in July 25, 2010, after a 3-day celebration.
